Launch of Version 3.2 extends PolicyMatter leadership in policy management

Release includes new enhancements in search, cross-referencing, policy consultation and feedback facility, support for non-computerised users.

Reading, UK. PolicyMatter Ltd today announced Version 3.2 of its PolicyMatter solution for policy communication, management and auditing. New features including enhanced search, cross-referencing of policies and support for non-computerised users, enrich the ways in which users may experience policy communication, while administrators benefit from new policy editing controls and reporting.

With many customers experiencing a marked increase in the number of policies they need to communicate, PolicyMatter’s new search and cross-referencing facilities allow users to absorb an increasing amount of information into their policy libraries without becoming inundated and confused with the content.

Furthermore, policies that are applicable to staff without computer access can now be incorporated into PolicyMatter’s life-cycle. Version 3.2 allows automatic printing of policies to employees for signature, and the scanning of a user and policy-specific barcode back into PolicyMatter provides user-based confirmation of acceptance. Administrators then have immediate visibility of policy acceptance both for employees with and without computers. The subsequent cost savings in managing such an onerous task are considerable.

In addition, PolicyMatter has for some time provided a facility to allow policy owners, line managers and targeted employees to comment on policies. In the new release this functionality has been considerably enhanced. Customers planning large scale rollouts can now schedule an initial consultation period during which feedback and comments are invited from a policy creation group, before collation into specific policy revisions and a wider rollout.

Administrators also benefit from enhancements to policy editing and options for controlling the rollout, giving them greater flexibility in balancing clear, effective and enforceable policy communication with the need to avoid deluging employees with policies.
