Release of PolicyMatter Version 3.5 raises the bar for effective policy management
Simplified user interface, in-depth management information, new policy types and questionnaire enhancements among myriad new features.
PolicyMatter Ltd, the market leading policy management software house, today announced the release of Version 3.5 of its PolicyMatter software. Building on the success of previous releases, the new version provides further extensive benefits for regulated organizations with key obligations to communicate effectively their policy, procedure and process initiatives.
Chief among the new functionality is a considerably wider range of management information and reporting that can be captured as part of a rollout of policy documents. Interactive charts and tables summarize agreement by employees to policies, but additionally allow policy administrators to immediately drill-down for more information. Comparisons between departments on policy compliance, awareness and risk assessment charts and automatic identification of policy clauses least well understood by employees give management immediate visibility of potential risks.
As well displaying management information on screen, the new release allows exporting of reports and tables, generation of a customized ‘My Reports’ facility for regular analysis, and even the ability to automatically schedule the process of sending departmental information to managers and team leaders.
PolicyMatter has also extended the scope and range of policy types. As well as policy documents that ‘Require Agreement’ within a set timeframe, policy administrators can now also select from documents that exist purely for information purposes, require attention and even, as part of a consultation phase, request feedback or agreement. Administrators can break this down further and apply their own classification by presenting documents in their organization’s own terminology, such as Guideline, Process, Control, Directive etc.
As customers experience increasing pressure to demonstrate rigorous processes around policy information and awareness, Version 3.5 provides additional facilities for keeping in step. As well as the well-established facility for testing understanding, the new release provides questionnaires that gather information, such as for compliance forms, and matrix surveys that pinpoint potential compliance breaches.
“Customers in a whole range of business sectors are constantly being challenged to show clear and effective strategies for communicating and tracking their policy initiatives,” said PolicyMatter Managing Director Chris Heslop. “That’s why we’ve worked closely with them to build out the capabilities of the new release, and deliver real value in the software we offer.”
