Do I have to have Windows 2000 or Windows XP on every desktop to benefit from Active Directory integration?
No, it's up to you. Those user desktops supported by Active Directory can be mapped to PolicyMatter. But if for whatever reason (cost, legacy systems, business needs etc) your company hasn't made a full migration to Active Directory, those desktops that don't support Active Directory will be recognised by PolicyMatter when they log on, and can be sorted into a group by the policy administrator.
