What advantages does PolicyMatter offer over handbooks, the Intranet or email?
Handbooks have a nice tangible quality. Intranets are cheap and work fine as a repository for policies. Email is cheap and allows changes to be issued. But that's about it. Where all become unworkable is:
- When you need to be sure people read policy, understand it and sign up to it
- When changes occur over time
- When you're regulated and need to clearly show an audit trail of acceptance and understanding
As well as addressing all of these challenges PolicyMatter is much more adaptable - scheduling the flow of policies, highlighting changes, integrating with key systems and applications, automatically re-presenting policies when needed.
