Understanding and Affirmation
These are two key aspects of PolicyMatter used by policy owners frustrated by traditional communication methods that are ignored or impossible to track.
Affirmation - a key feature of all policies you define as mandatory, where users click OK and create a record of their agreement to abide by the terms of the policy
Understanding - an optional facility, where you test employee understanding with multiple-choice questions on the clauses they've just read. If they don't achieve the threshold required, you can select from a variety of actions, depending on your corporate culture and goals and the sensitivity of the policy:
- Re-present policy
- Direct users to a training page
- Explain what they've got wrong
- Send an email to a selected individual or individuals
- Deny partial or complete access to sensitive parts of the system e.g. applications related to a specific policy
- Record their score in a database
